Hey everyone!! 🌞
I've been meditating on Luke 22:42-43 for a while now... but it came back up recently and I am urged to share my thoughts with you!
God makes it clear that EVERYONE has to go through a situation that feels uncomfortable, unfavorable, unfair, RUDE, disappointing, challenging & overwhelming (to say the LEAST)! 👀 Even Jesus, the son of God, Himself. 😕😟😔
But I thank GOD that this story is in the Bible for OUR own benefit.
Jesus was NOT happy, He wanted OUT! He felt that the burden of carrying (LITERALLY) EVERYONE's sins was overbearing to the point that He BEGGED God to take it away if there was ANY other way (that He could help His Father accomplish victory over death)!!! and He meant if there was ANY (less painful) other way, He would do it with gladness!!
I mean, Jesus was so overwhelmed that His sweat poured out like drops of blood. 👀 I get stress bumps across my face when I'm overwhelmed, but He LITERALLY sweat blood....... 😳
BUT even in that, He ALWAYS stayed in a place of submission to God. He prayed and prayed and had other people praying and even PRAYED some more hoping that the Lord would answer Him... with a changed mind, 👀 but as we always know, God knows best and it will ALWAYS be for His glory in the end. 🙌🏾 (Isaiah 55:8 / Jeremiah 29:11 / John 11:4)
And you know what? RIGHT after He gave it to God and said "NEVERTHELESS Lord, YOUR will not mine...." God sent Him STRENGTH!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
But that's the thing! STRENGTH ONLY COMES AFTER SUBMISSION!!! (Chile, I'm bout to run! 🙈🏃🏽🏃🏽💨💨) That's not my message today, so I'll just leave that right there! Lol.
...and one more thing. Luke 22 around verse 69 blesses my life, too! It just shows that Jesus already knew He would be sitting up in Heaven chilling with His Father in the end. He already knew! Even though He was VERY aware that He was about to go through (what felt like) the worst season of His life... He proceeded with confidence!
Anyways, I just want to encourage us (all 👀) and let YOU know that I AM PRAYING for you! This season seems to be challenging for EVERYone!! It seems like the worst one yet!!! 😩😭 But since we've given God permission to have His way in us and through us... we've surrendered to HIS plan.
With that said, I pray we all can strengthen our "NEVERTHELESS" and relax a little even though we are facing difficult times.
