Less Stress, More Yes

Updated: Aug 19, 2023

So the other day, I leaned over my nightstand to take my new relax gummy & the title of it hit a little different than it did when I first read it.

A lot of times, stuff don’t be hittin deep until we’re in that season when it’s needed and then it becomes our everything, right?! That’s actually what this statement did for me.

Less Stress, More Yes

Immediately, the jukebox in my mind kicked on & I started singing “…and there is peeeaaccceee when I say YES. I might not see it now, but You save the best for all who trust You and obey. There is an answer, no more delay. I’ll just say yes.” (I’ll Just Say Yes - Brian Courtney Wilson)

Smh. “Yes, Lord!”

Sometimes, the perspective is actually that your Yes brings more stress than you thought you signed up for. If you’ve been saved a while, you know exactly what I mean. 🙃 Nonetheless, as a Believer, we say it because we love Jesus and we want to submit to what He wants. However, the reality is that if we want less stress, we’ve gotta keep saying YES more …

Yes to Your will.

Yes to Your process.

Yes to Your plan.

Yes, I’ll submit my life.

Yes, I’ll endure.

Yes… to all the things.

As we release our Yes, over and over and over, I do believe that God will be faithful to release His peace. It confirms this in His word. I’ve always loved this scripture: Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].”

To me, the word “LET” has always indicated that there was a decision… either you will let it (by saying yes) or you won’t. So as we say yes, just know there’s always peace… it ain’t always easy don’t I know it, but in your mind there can be peace.

On top of that, another says:

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The prerequisite to the peace is the yes in choosing to trust in Jesus & keep our thoughts fixed on Him.

Trust me, it doesn’t always seem that easy, but maybe in reality it is. Choose a yes with me & let’s find it together. It’s okay to cry it out… I get it cause chile, this season has been a lot… ❤️‍🩹 but after all that, may there still be a YES forever on our lips…

…especially when it tastes this good! Haha

If you’re wondering where I got these, slide through!
